Innovating for Society
Of course, Accenture is a business. But we can only ever be a successful business if we are relevant: for our clients, their customers, for our people, and for society as a whole. Relevance and making a difference are at the heart of the incredible work our people deliver each day, and our mission to improve the way the world works and lives. Relevance is our shared purpose, past, present and future.
We use our combined skills and understanding of business and technology to develop inclusive, responsible and sustainable solutions for our clients. That means, we always apply innovation in meaningful ways that add value to people’s lives, not just profit margins, like building responsible Artificial Intelligence.
And we don’t do this alone.
We co-create innovative solutions with our social partners, our clients, social entrepreneurs and our people so that together, we can offer more opportunities to more people around the world, now and for future generations.
At Accenture, we call this Innovation with Purpose. It’s about addressing business needs and societal/environmental challenges at the same time resulting in win-win-win partnerships. Because we believe all companies can address their business challenges in a socially responsible and ethical way. A huge part of that is protecting our planet. We’re always looking for innovative ways to lessen our impact on the environment. Our new office in Brussels is a great example of this.

Sustainable in heart & soul
Our Brussels office is a sustainable, timber construction designed for a new, collaborative way of working. Features like our Liquid Studio, an innovation hub focused on co-creation, also allow us to accelerate joint efforts to address complex societal challenges. The building has geothermal systems for heating and cooling, solar panels and sustainable waste management. As signatories of the Green Deal Circular Purchasing, we apply the purchasing principles of the circular economy and challenge our suppliers to think about circularity. Other best practices include ecological cleaning products (Bioorg), paper made from agricultural waste (PaperWise), and zero plastic waste (bottles & cups).
