What do you do as an entrepreneur whose business has been dramatically affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic?
Well, in the case of young entrepreneur Margaux Cannaerts, you Rebound, of course – with Women in Tech Brussels and Accenture.
The Rebound Program was launched in October 2020 by Women in Tech Brussels to replace its annual Women Code Festival. Its aim was to help female entrepreneurs in Brussels, whose businesses were impacted by the pandemic, to reimagine their business models and explore how digital technologies can help them become strong players in the new post-pandemic economy.
Bringing together 23 public/private partners, the two-month program gave 50 selected female entrepreneurs access to workshops covering subjects such as new business models, finance, and innovation, plus mentoring and networking. As a Rebound Program partner, Accenture hosted a workshop on Innovation Entrepreneurship in the COVID-19 era.
One of the finalists, Margaux Cannaerts, business developer at her family company, Autobussen Cannearts (established in 1924), was awarded the Accenture prize by René Mat (Inclusion & Diversity Lead at Accenture): a series of 1-to-1 coaching sessions with Accenture’s innovation experts between January and June 2021.
René Mat: “Inclusion, sustainable transformation and promoting female entrepreneurship resonate with what we believe in and strive for at Accenture. The Rebound Program was a welcome opportunity for us to share our passion and have a direct impact. We helped Margaux to dedicate time to exploring creative ways to re-invent and craft new business strategies after losing substantial business due to the pandemic. Powered by our Liquid Studio, and in collaboration with Accenture Interactive, our innovation coaches provided personal coaching on brand voice, how to leverage digital technologies & social media and ideas for new services in the future. We are truly excited about Margaux’s next steps and look forward to being involved in future editions of the Rebound Program.”
Margaux Cannaerts : “I learned to be ambitious and think outside of the box. Self-reflection was that I needed to dare to think BIG”
